Our Program’s DNA

The Linn-Mar Men's Soccer program has been organized to ensure that our student-athletes develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to play soccer at a higher level, if they choose; more importantly it has been designed to improve student-athletes’ roles as players, teammates, and citizens. 

Our vision for this program is to create a competitive, and consistent, winning program that teaches players life skills through the game of soccer. 

Individuals who want to participate are described as "student-athletes"... purposely highlighting them as students, FIRST, emphasizing the importance of their conduct, performance, and behavior in the classroom.

High school athletic fields/courts are an extension of the classroom.  Appropriate behavior, language, and interactions are expected at all times.

Amateur, co-curricular sports are voluntary, and not the only option to participate in sports. If you plan to adorn a Linn-Mar Soccer jersey, be willing to accept the role that you fill within the team. 

Student-athletes will be treated fairly, equally, and with respect, and will be given every opportunity to succeed; most student-athletes' experiences will be different from their peers. Student-athletes will be treated as young adults, and held responsible for their actions and behaviors.

Varsity games will be played at Linn-Mar Stadium, and are often scheduled together with a JV1 game played before it.  

Due to scheduling conflicts with other events, JV2 games may not be played at Linn-Mar Stadium, but instead may be played at Oak Ridge, or Excelsior Middle Schools, or at Armstrong Field. 

Practice locations are determined upon availability, but rotate between Linn-Mar Stadium, Echo Hill, and Armstrong Field. Practices and scrimmages are closed to visitors, unless otherwise noted.
